Nas Setup
▲▼: (Mouse: Left click) Use these buttons to select the desired menu or area.
• Esc: (Mouse: Right Click) Use this button to escape from the NAS Setup dialog. If a Save dialog
is shown, press Enter to exit and save, or Esc (Mouse: Right Click) to exit without saving. If the
NAS settings have been changed, you will be asked to reboot the system in order for the new
settings to take effect. The NAS device will be always the last storage item in the HDD list.
• Type: “NFS” or “N/A”. Press +/- buttons to select.
• URL: This is the defined URL for the NAS device. Follow the Text Input method described on page
16 to put the URL.
• Path: This defines the path of the NAS device you wish to use to store video/audio. Follow the text
input method on page 16 to define the path. Links are case sensitive.
Password Setup
In the Setup Menu, use ▲▼ to change the highlighted option to Password, and then press
ENTER to open the Password Setup menu. This menu allows the administrator to add new users,
delete existing ones, and/or modify the user’s name, password, and/or level. There are three
default password levels, including Administrator (highest), Supervisor, and Operator (lowest). The
Operator & Supervisor can view live video, use the playback and archive feature. The Administrator
can perform any function. In addition to the default password levels, the user can also set a
“Customized” user level. These DVRs allow up to 18 user accounts. By default, the Administrator
username is aa, and the password is 11. General operations of this menu are defined below.
▲▼ : (Mouse: Left click) Use these buttons to select the desired menu or area.
• MODE: Select/Deselect as default (Mouse: Left click) Use this button to select a user as the
default one at login, or deselect this option if this user is not the default user to login. An asterisk
(*) will be shown along with the user number of the default login user. This login username
name/password will be the default one used each time the login dialog is shown, so the user
doesn’t have to manually enter the text every time to login the system.
• Esc: (Mouse: Right Click) Use this button to escape from the current screen, and return to the
previous menu. If the Save dialog is shown, press Enter to exit and save, Esc (Mouse: Right Click)
to exit without saving.
