Network Setup
In the Setup Menu, use ▲▼ to change the highlighted option to Network, and then press
Enter to call up Network Setup menu. The Network Setup menu allows the administrator to setup all
Ethernet network related parameters. Check with your network administrator to verify you are setting
these parameters correctly. General operations of this menu are defined below.
▲▼ : (Mouse: Left click) Use these buttons to select the desired menu or area.
• Esc: (Mouse: Right Click) Use this button to escape from the current screen, and return to the
previous menu. If the Save dialog is shown, press Enter to exit and save, or Esc (Mouse: Right
Click) to exit without saving.
• Net Type: This option is used to select your network type. The options available are Static IP,
PPPoE, or DHCP. For internet access, make sure the below IP Address is a public IP address.
Otherwise, a router with public IP address is required, and the router must be setup for port
mapping (forwarding) to the DVR, or a CMS server must be used. Use the +/- buttons to change
the Network type.
• IP Address: This option defines the Ethernet IP address. Follow the text input instructions on page
16 to enter this address.
• Net Mask: This option defines the Subnet Mask used for your Ethernet IP address. Follow the text
input instructions on page 16 to enter this address.
• Gateway: This option defines the Ethernet Gateway IP address. The priority of the Gateway is (1)
Ethernet Gateway and (2) a 3G Gateway. Follow the text input instructions on page 16 to enter this
address.
• DNS: This option defines the DNS (Domain Name Server) IP address for your Ethernet
connection. Follow the text input instructions on page 16 to enter this address.
