Notification Setup

In the Network Setup menu, press Enter to open the Notification Setup menu when the highlighted

option is Notification. The Notification Setup menu allows the administrator to the set notification

(email & push alarm) related parameters. When an event occurs, & Notification/E-mail is enabled for

the corresponding action, a notification will be sent based on the parameters set.

General operations of this menu are defined below.

• ▲▼ : (Mouse: Left click) Use these buttons to select the desired menu or area.

• Esc: (Mouse: Right Click) Use this button to escape from the current screen, and return to the

previous menu. If the Save dialog is shown, press Enter to exit and save, or Esc (Mouse: Right

Click) to exit without saving.

• SMTP Server: This option defines the SMTP mail server name. Follow the text input instructions

on page 16 to enter this address.

• SMTP Port: This option defines the SMTP port for e-mail transmission. The default value is 25.

Follow the text input instructions on page 16 to enter this port.

• Authentication: This option defines whether or not the SMTP mail server requires authentication.

Press Enter or +/- to check/uncheck this option.

• Username: This option defines the SMTP mail server requires authentication. Follow the text input

instructions on page 16 to enter this username.

• Password: This option defines the SMTP mail server requires authentication. Follow the text input

instructions on page 16 to enter this password.

• Mail From: This option defines the e-mail address of this DVR unit, i.e. the sender of the e-mails

originated from the triggered events. Follow the text input instructions on page 16 to enter this

email address.

• Mail To #1-5: This option defines the receivers’ e-mail addresses. The DVR can send the e-mails

created by triggered events to up to 5 different receivers. Follow the text input instructions on page

16 to enter these addresses.

• Attachment: This option defines the attached snapshot when an e-mail is sent.

Use the +/- buttons to modify this setting.

• Push Alarm: This option defines whether Push Alarm is enabled for network notification.

Press Enter or +/- to check/uncheck this option.
